Breast Cancer Awareness
Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer found in women in the United States. Early detection and treatment offer the best chance of surviving breast cancer. Early detection includes a monthly breast self-examination starting by age 20, annual clinical breast exam, and annual mammography starting at age 40 or earlier if you have family history or other concerns about your risk.
During the month of October there are activities happening locally and around the world to raise awareness about breast cancers, and celebrate surviorship.
